Mirror problem

I have a 99 w/ elec mirrors. The switch works on both mirrors for side to side and down. It will not move either mirror up. When I try to put the switch on the "up" setting it blows the fuse. Has anyone experienced this? If not then I will have to tear apart the door to start checking.

Although I haven't had this problem, it's probobly not the wiring, it's bundled up and held in place good. I'd check the switch itself, you gotta take the door panel off, unplug it, pull the knob off the front side, then take the nut off and the switch pulls out the backside. It's about $20 from DC.

I'm having sort of the same problem. If I try to move the right hand mirror down, the radio and the number 12 fuse blow. This takes out my interior lighting and the light under the hood. I have ordered a manual, but I don't have it yet. Jim gave me some valuable wiring info. The thread was "Strange electrical problem". Post when you know what the trouble is.
