On the power mirrors... is there a difference with the connector on a power with heat vs. just a power mirror (no heat) ?Talking the std ones here, not the flip out towing mirrors, even though i would think that would not matter.
If I remember right, at least on my 01, there were 2 wires to connect. . The power set and the Heater set. . I would think the power ones would be the same. . Either way you can get connectors to hook it up and match
I just re-read your question. I guess I don't know if there is a difference between "heat" and "no heat. " I just know there is only one wire on the 3rd gens.
I just put a set of power/heated mirrors on my truck... . 5 wires in 1 harness connector. 3 color wires with silver square on wire are the power mirror wires, 2 black wires are for the resistor for the heated part
I'm fixing to swap standard power/heat mirrors on my '04 SLT to the towing flip up mirrors I got off the classifieds here (Thanks Joe W. ). What am I in for as far as removing door panel (I'm assuming) and mirror R/R? Once I get this done, I'll have the standard power/heat mirrors up on the classifieds if anyone is looking for them for a 3rd Gen. Any special tools needed for interior trim/door panel removal?
