I have a 4th generation ram on which the marker light on the passenger mirror got broken. I have been unable to determine how to replace it. any suggestions on how it is taken apart?

Move the mirror into the full down position.

Firmly and carefully grasp the mirror at the top (1) and pull out to separate the upper mounting clips.

Separate the lower hinge type clips (1) and remove the mirror glass assembly.

Disconnect the electrical connectors (2), if equipped.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

If it isn't already so, move the mirror head to the horizontal position (3).

Remove the convex mirror glass and case (2) from the mirror housing, leaving the flat mirror glass and case (1) undisturbed. (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/MIRROR, Outside Rearview - Removal) .

Disconnect the mirror wire harness connector (3) from the signal lamp (1) connector receptacle.

Remove the screw (4) that secures the lamp to the mirror housing (2).

Separate and remove the signal lamp from the outside of the mirror housing. It may be necessary on some vehicles to gently pry between the lamp lens and the mirror housing to release the adhesive-backed foam weather seal that seals the lamp to the mirror housing.

Bob 4x4, do you know if there are some parts available for the 4th gen mirror # 68143805AB??

... I was given a lightly damaged 4th gen (2010) power, tow mirror with signals, that I just might try to retrofit onto my 2005 (I do know that the base bezel is a different size and that the bolts are in a slightly diiferent location), but I would need to replace the missing spotter mirror, as well as the turn signal lense.

Bob 4X4, Thank you for the reply but what do the numbers in the parentheses refer to? Do the numbers refer to a an illustration or diagram? If so where do I find it?
