What are the options for the mirrors? I have told the dealer I did not want the western style and he ordered option GPD telling me it was the new tow extendable mirrors. Anyone know that this correct?

search for fold out mirrors, and you should be able to find the threads that talked about the new towing mirrors from dodge. They look pretty cool too.

GPD mirrors-trailer tow, folding ( no elec. no heat ) these are the long black plastic ones that fold out for towing.

The option code you've been quoted was also valid on the 2001 model year truck. I elected to stay with the OEM power/heated mirrors on my truck, because the factory flippers don't have either facility #ad
- a major limitation in my opinion on a truck costing the best part of US$40k. BTW, you'll still need the small 4 inch "blindspot" mirror inserts to keep an
eye on what's behind. Good luck!

If you need a good towing mirror take a look at the McKesh product. High quality no vibration in them either. regards Pete

GPD mirrors are great if you don't need or want heated/power mirrors, which I don't. And the blind spot mirror built in is positioned so it works exceptionally well whether the mirror is flipped in or out.

But don't break one. The retail on them is $350, and you can't just get the mirror part. I'm working on getting the glass splinters out of mine and having a mirror shop cut a new flat piece..... J
