At low idle my engine is missing, or so I think it is. The dealer ran a check and found no codes coming up or any electrical problems on the truck at all. You can hear the pops in the exhaust and at the engine when it does it. But it doesn't always do it. I have been told an injector could be the problem. I don't want to spend a lot of money figuring this one out. There is no loss of power in the engine and it only does it at idle. To get rid of the miss all I have to do is increase the rpm's by 50 and the problem is completely gone. If anyone has had this problem or knows what could be causing it please let me know. This truck is too nice to be having problems.

engine missing ha-ha

Sorry tring to funny for I am just jelious let me guess made in early 99 ???? Sounds as if an injector is not injecting on time? I take it that you have lots of power ? Try to remove the Injectors and pop test them. They should open at 4500 PSI This would tell you which injector is bad.

My son in law has a cool IR thermometer. Just point it at the exhaust manifold where each cylinder comes out and one will be cooler than the rest. There's you culprit.

I just bought one of those.....

"... . cool IR thermometer(s)". And it was really easy to find out which injectors on my John Deere were not functioning properly.

Miss at idle

Thanks for the advice I will try to locate an IR thermometer to use or I will just start pulling the injectors out. A friend of mine has a pop tester and he said he would help me. Any other suggestions on this I'm still open to any ideas.
