I have been chasing a miss for close to a month now. I swapped an Iat and Map and an Injection pump (not with a new one just a different one) The miss is always there. No change at all. I also tried the resistor trick and still no change. I swapped the EZ to #2 and the miss is gone. Does anybody know why? Is it cause I swapped to Jammer 3s? Do I need a bigger box or a HRVP44? Is something wrong with the EZ?

Mike

It did it mildly a couple times today on the #2 setting. Im going to swap it out with a freinds EZ and see if thats it. Ive aready have had it warranteed once before. Kinda disapointing product if it has failed 2 times in 2 years. Im making a long heavy haul at the end if the month so I hope I can get this figured out. :{

The computer defuels at 24psi. With the jammer3s that happens pretty much right away. The miss is happening at 27-31psi

Leave the EZ connected to the map so it can act as a boost fooler, but disconnect the other connector. This will remove the EZ's fueling changes from the equation.

Thanks, I will give that a try in the morning. The guy I know with the EZ Im trying to swap with cant meet up with me for a few days.

Also I found that it does still miss on#2 but it has to be a hard extended pull. If I drive at 80% engine load or less It doesnt do it.

Mike,
I have the same thing with my Edge Juice. I installed the stage 2 injector nozzles at the same time as installing the Edge. I always figured I had some trash in an injector. I think the miss is more apparent with harder pulling simply because of when you shut something off from WOT it is more severe than shutting off at idle, like when an injector does not fire properly. From a little fuel to a little less fuel is no problem, but going from a lot of fuel to very little fuel, relatively, is more apparent. I'm curious to know what you find out.

I did this today and all was smooth. So does this mean the EZ is bad? This is not good. Last time Edge warranteed my EZ it took 6 weeks to get it back. I leave in 2 weeks and 2 days on a 2800 mile trip towing heavy.

Does anybody know for sure if the smarty does boost fooling? Then I could order a smarty, warrantee the EZ (if they will again) and sell it when I get it back.

I just got off the phone with Edge. Sounds like they are going to try to take care of this ASAP. They are nice people and sounded genuinely concerned and eager to help. Im going to overnight it right now and hope for the best.

When i had my miss, EDGE was very good about REPLACING ANYTHING I WANTED!!! But they were very unhelpful on altering their timing curve on MY box or any ideas to help! I was on my own. After alot of experimenting and research, fooling the IAT with a resistor WORKED! YES, the smarty does boost fooling.

Good luck!!!

I just thought Id give an update. The EZ was definately the problem. I Got a loaner Smarty from Bob Wagner (thanks:D ) and the truck has no miss at all even on #9. I have to say the smarty is really responsive. Im going to try the other settings tomorrow. Im going to be towing tomorrow and see how it compares to the EZ.
