well guys 1st off i want to say the kurts b-1 is a great turbo, but if one is good, two has to be better right?

i got dave's twins on and it took me about 15min to blow a head gasket. :D since i couldn't get my motor o-ringed i put a stock one back in it and rigged up a wastegaste. i'm keeping the boost at about 55psi and i have a light gray haze and that's it. so now i have a new problem i need more fuel!!!

these gave me 55hp on the same dyno more than the b-1 and the 40. i now need to go back to the drawing board with my n2o since i don't have any smoke i'm going to have to de tune the gas.

these things spool so fast it's kind of scary. egt's are down about 200 over the b-1 but i can still bury it on 5-5 at 1500. the kit was great it took me about 10 hours to install it. i will say this is the nicest set of turbo's i have ever driven. there are spendy but they are great. http://www.enterpriseengine.com/

HEHE..... sound good Jim. It's simply amazing what that set of twins will do on our trucks. I rode in a 01 3500 QC 6sp, with a hydraulic flat bed on it and weighed 9000lbs and it had Mitchell's twin setup on it along with box/injectors and pulling clutch and I swear to this day that I've never rode in a truck that ran like that one when cosidering it's weight. I'm not sure what kind of boost it was runnin b/c it was burying his 60lbs guage and EGT's never got over 1150-1200. By that time we were goin in warp speed. When it comes to that twin setup the 24v trucks deffinately are goin to need more fuel b/c unless your lugging the truck you don't get alot of smoke like you would with a 12v. And after reading your's and Gene's post I cant wait till pulling season starts so that I can try out my new toy for this year... hehe. Take care guys!

Pictures...

Hi Jim,

Sounds Great. Are you going to post some pictures. I would like a set for my truck. How much boost blew the head gasket? Looking forward to Dyno Days at BD. Are you going? Sam

i want to try and make 600hp on #2 out of a vp-44.

sam

there are pics up on enterprises web site mine look the same. i will be at dyno days. my gasket blew at around 75psi. but the boost hit so fast i couldn't stop it.

gene

don't worry i will beat you with a vp-44 before i switch to a p-pump:D

jim

anyone put together a set of turbos in parallel yet ? i like my head and gasket where it is .

no need for me to be over 50psi , maybe 55psi , after that top end mods are needed to keep from having to do routine head gaskets changes ...
