Rocky Mountain TDR Christmas Party

rocky mountain TDR X-mas party

Come one come all... . bring your Ford and Chevy Buddies.....

After our last get together, guys said they wanted to compair their HP numbers from the Mustang to a Dyno Jet. Other have done some more modifications.

So here it is:

HiTech Motorsports in Ramsey (http://www.hitechmotorsport.com/). If we have more than 10 trucks it's $50 each. Less than 10 $60. Start time around 9am. We get 2 CLEAN runs Back to Back. They have the optical pick-up so we do get a torque reading. They Drive the truck on the dyno. Duallys, gotta take the outside dual off. If the Ford or Chevy guys bring a 4door long bed... sorry guys it won't fit. We were there last year, Bart and Brian are great guys. Last time, we amiazed them with the HP and Torque that our trucks produce. :D Lets show them again!

Directions are Easy! From the Cities, get on HWY 10 west towards Anoka. Go to Sunfish Lake Blvd, take a right (north) go over the rail road tracks and take your first Right. Follow that down a few block till you see Airgas, take a left, the building is on the right.

From the West: Take HWY 10 east towards the cities, Go to Sunfish Lake Blvd, take a left (north) go over the rail road tracks and take your first Right. Follow that down a few block till you see Airgas, take a left, the building is on the right.

I will try to have a sign up in front of the building, but due to the Frozen ground or lack of snow... I may not be able to.

Any questions feel free to ask!

HiTech treated us very well last time but, I still think it sucks that they won't let us run our trucks inside without the exhaust tubes on  . I will be there and I have a tad :D more fuel than before and hopefully the air hooked up to burn it!

Ya that 15,000cfm exhaust fan they have works quite well. Your truck and Tims last time gave it a run for it's money, I think this time they may have to clean the walls!

Guys have fun, I have to miss this one. Christmas party for our landowners that night, and during the day I will have to help out. Besides until I get this P-pump on I am staying away from them dynos for awhile..... later, Jim.

COUNT THE FAT KID IN!!!! Oo. Oo. Oo. an dyno that may be more consistant. maybe anyways looking forward to it JPhopefully i'll have my toys done. :p I'll see if i can grab dads truck and get a real number on it too... ...

Guys, please don't be so hard on me. The MD250 has been bad because of a circuit failure. It has since been repaired, but the numbers you got in IA were not reliable. Don't use them as a comparison. Yes, Chilli, that means that you didn't get the 532 HP that the machine said you did. Maybe, just maybe I might be able to come up there for the event. But I probably won't run. Just keep me in mind.

Come on now Aron I know I didn't put down a 532, it was actually only 525 :-laf . That is what my $50 piece of paper says and I'm stickin' to it  ! I don't think anyone is/has blamed you for the inflated dyno numbers, and if they have screw 'em! I think everyone knows that the dyno was not working properly but we all had fun and appreciate the time and effort you put into it.

Hey Chilly!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't about time to plan a trip out west? Shoot me a PM if you want to try to get a ride together, I just want to see how the ole 800 hangs with ya, although if I lost about 70 pounds I would be doing better... ... ... ... ... :-laf

wish i could play in the snow but lil 500 wont hang with spicy's 800  oh well. I'll take a run on the dyno. Aron i didnt care about the dyno #'s just wanted to spin them.

Aron, We all know you did a great job with the Mustang. Everyting has it's problems. IA numbers, to East coast numbers to West coast numbers..... it's all in fun!

I am in no way saying that the Mustang is inaccurate. Guys like different things, an average per-say. I'm always looking for ideas for this GREAT club of ours. Keep the ideas comming, and I'll keep doing everything I can to make those ideas a reality!

Josh

I'd like to make this one if possible. I'll check my schedule and keep ya posted. I probably wont know til it gets closer. Did somebody say out west??? We're leaving the day after christmas... wanna tag along? :) We're pretty slow though ;) . . a d&d 136" mod and a 1004 psi 151", cutler bulkhead, crazy mtn extreme tunnel, etc...

Corey

Corey,

That would be nice to see a DTT-equipped truck there. Mine is getting the $*** modded out of it as well. Can't wait! I'm anxious because I haven't driven or rode in one of these trucks with a modified transmission. It's going to be different for me, that's for sure. :D

Saying that, I would like to try and make this one. I had a good time at last year's event, even though I didn't dyno nor do much there. :-laf I still had fun watching the wrenching and learning from JohnE. It's too bad that he left this forum, he was a wealth of information and smart to say the least. Oh, and good food served by none-other-than Josh! :) Cool cars too!!! I also thought a lot of the dyno operator and owner there, they gained my respect and they showed respect towards us and our trucks. ;) Their prices for products and labor, on the other hand, are nothing to brag about. :{

I won't brag about my cooking skills. Due to the weather this time around, I don't know how much Grilling will be involved. The usual fine cusine restraunts are around for quick and easy gut bombs! :-laf :-laf If you guys do want to grill, I can bring mine out, you supply the dead critter of your choice! :-laf

See "Fat Kid", my 800 is nothing compared to other sleds. Gee I may have to ask Todd to drag out the 1050 with the 151 for me to hang with Chilly. Well would rather not though. If I roll a sled I would rather it be mine. Although "Fat Kid" if you want to go, told ya I have another RMK, you would be surprised at what the 550 will go over, may not climb for I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER, but it does float on the snow nice.

Well it was so nice to get my box back, thank you "Fat Kid". It was good to see you today, even better to have my truck back with it's kick. The "GO" pedal is back at its finest again, do me a favor, don't ever talk me into trading with you agin... ... ... ... ... . :-laf

Jim,

Your the one who asked me if i wanted to i just said yes so dont start with me. Thats ok i need fire rings first then some twins the some shower heads befor i use that box again. the list goes on and on.

Count me in on the dyno run. Will be the first for me and truck. Just got my new trans and comp installed a few weeks ago and ready to see what it looks like on paper. I don't expect to see anything like you guys have, but I would like to play nonetheless.
