My friends over at Left Coast Diesel in Concord were kind enough to get me in and out of the shop with a brand new Spankin BD Super B Turbo and some mighty fuelin DDP Stage II injectors.

I am to busy right now to do my own wrenching and so dropped the truck off on the way to work and picked it up later that day on the way home from work.

I can't stop grinning! Holy Cow Batman!

Need to get the truck dyno'd but in the meantime the folks at LCD tell me seat of the pants dyno is in the 400-450hp range. Truck pulls HARD!

Oh the joy!

Good to know, I've been thinking about going with the same combo. Let us know if you see any significant difference in mileage?

Thanks.

Good to see your transmission is beefed up!! Sounds like you may need it! Keep us posted on mileage and response lag. I don't have a first gen, but I have friends that do.

I will report back once I have a few more miles on the truck. I swear I'm getting better mileage but won't know until the next fill up.

I will say that truck is smokier. I will back off star wheel a bit, and move that 100 plate back a little too. If I keep the truck "on the pipe" smoke is minimal, but if I grab a handful of throttle before the turbo is singing I can generate quite a smoke screen. I'm not at all crazy about that. I don't like the attention that brings to me or other diesel owners.
