My 96 4x4 2500 is acting up

It starts moaning and vibrating(front end) when I make left turns. It occurs intermittantly and most of the time it is at slow speeds. The steering pump seems to be ok-the fluid level is fine and it does not squeel when turning lock to lock at a standstill.

I have heard varied opinions about this ( steering box,u-joints,wheel bearings). Has anyone had this problem? Other than irritating me I am trying to head off a failure. I spend a lot of time in the boondocks.

Mine does this occasionally... .

I know for a fact that my LF axle-joint has seen better days..... nice rusty stuff is leaking out on all 4 sides - time to replace that thing.

Jack up your front end. Check your ball joints out. Mine had a bad one on lower driverside and a whipped out trac bar. It was hard on the passenger side tire. Go figure. Mine used to squawk turning in the drivway. Bet thats it. Goodluck;)
