I know ther have been numerous threads on oil filters, but I haven't found one dealing with the Mobile One filter. I have used them for years in gas engines, and Mobil claims they will not void any new vehicle warranty, but has anyone had experience with them in a diesel? This is my first "real" diesel (I don't count the 82 6. 2 liter suburban).

ditto. It's an unnecessary gamble. It's not like you're going to find a spin-on full flow that's better than the FG filters. Some are close, but none surpass.

Fleeetguard filters have a reinforced thread area and the case is made to hold extra psi . Wise choise you made to get the FG filter. Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY

I'm with the other guy's on this one also. I just can not see any reason to use anything but the Fleetguard oil filters. I first started out with Dodge replacement filters, but soon saw the light and made the switch. Thanks to the TDR I found the information I needed to make an informed decision. You really don't have to make any special trips to anywhere, Geno's and some other fine retailers can send them right to your house, and for usually alot less. Also, might as well order them by the dozen shipping is only a few bucks more then if you would buy one.

Got the Fleetguard Stratapore Thursday and switched to Royal Purple 15w40 that night. Luckily I live about four miles from Cummins Southern Plains, so its no biggie to go pick up what I need, and it was less than 9 bucks, thanks for the tip though.
