Well, I had to try it... run a pressure box only (left TST on 0x0) with the modded CP3 after reading all those early modded CP3 posts about getting the most from a modded CP3. I don't think I'll ever do that again unless I cap the rail relief valve. It's just plain nuts!
Seat-of-pants results with just the TS MP8 turned a hair on (maybe 20% on the adjustable knob):
1) This combo has even more touchy throttle response than the Smarty I tried the past 2 weeks does. Rail pressure goes from 5,500 psi to about 12,000 psi just by looking at the throttle peddle. Lots less smoke than the Smarty too.
2) How does cruising around town at 17,000 psi rail pressure sound?
3) How does cruising at 55 mph at 15 psi boost up a 6% grade with the rail pressure gauge reading maxed out at 26,700 psi with the high level alarm flashing sound? I had to slow down to 45 mph just to get up the hill for fear of blowing the rail relief valve.
4) Essentially when I hit about 15-20 psi boost I'm maxed out as high as the rail pressure gauge / sensor can read. Accellerating normally through the gears from a stoplights hits max rail psi in each gear!
Note that the above observations are with 90 HP injectors too. I wonder what type of pressures / results we would see with smaller or stock injectors?
