Moderators: do they read every post?

I'm just curious, do moderators read every post that goes into their forum? Or do they just read some percentage of them?



Sometimes the inner-workings of this website fascinate me.

At one time I at least tried to read every post. With the volume of traffic we have these days (~1000 posts per day) I highly doubt any of the moderators are reading EVERY post in their forums. After a while you do learn which threads are most likely to have things in it that you need to look for and tune what you read outside of what interests you personally.

Yup, pretty much what Steve said. I try to scan every thread quickly and focus more attention to the ones which have a "reputation" so to speak.

Do I have a reputation?

I meant reputation as in certain thread topics tend to have a history of causing turmoil, nuclear sabotage, give small children nightmares, and in general need to be monitored more than others.

Do you mean threads like;



- 6spds vs. autos

- long boxes vs. short boxes

- "Fords Rule"

- pros and cons of running over GVWR

- will the dealer know if I have a box?

- _gen trucks suck

- DTT vs. ATS



..... just checking!

Ahh, yes. The neverending Oil Wars... Who could live without that?? I forgot all about the Barn Chicks thread too. However, it's alive and well on the 'other' site... . Almost as many replies as the Smoke Stories Thread on this site; in less than half the time too!

I just wish there was an easier way to search for all the closed threads.
