A little side tracked... I admit that I do hurt for those of you living in places with higher air quality standards then me. Frankly the air quality in Oklahoma is affected more by the polution in Texas than from the polution generated in Ok. That is a fact not a Tx/Ok joke. I know that there are legal consiquences for removing and messing with that emissions equipment. I want to know what gains people have gotten by removing the DPF. Then I can make my own decision on if it is worth it or not to remove the DPF. Thanks again for your help.

I have done my mods for fuel economy not power or dumping black smoke. I have a Smarty and I am running on sw3 everything else normal. I have gain 2 to 3 miles per gallon in city driving. When I tow my 5er I have gain 2 miles per gallon. I really do not know how much I would achieve on the highway since I drive mainly 70/30 or 80/20 combination. I have track every gallon of diesel that I have put in this truck along with cost. So I will know if this will save over the long run and how much.

Another item to point out is that I have gone from 2500 to 3000 mile oil changes to 5000 miles oil changes.

Interesting. You live in Edmond which is north and northeast of Oklahoma City, a city with a population of over 500,000 people split in half by I-40, the most traveled east/west interestate highway in the nation and split in half again by I-35, running north/south.

The normal wind patterns flow from southwest to northeast.

And you think pollution comes from Texas. Only the more rural northwestern part of Texas is to the southwest of your location with no major population centers or major industrial centers in the area.

Your "facts" are the reason we Texans laugh at Okies.
