I recently purchased the Bodiak front receiver hitch - mainly becuase I didn't like how low the other options were (and the fact that you had to do some frame drilling).

Before needing/wanting a front receiver, I wanted a simple light bar. So I had a friend at work fabricate these brackets (way overkill) and re-powdercoat the entire thing. The brackets were made in CAD and cut on a CNC plasma cutter, then bent and welded together and then on to the hitch.

I think it turned out great and should be an option from Bodiak..... (I want some royalties! :) )

The lights are Hella 700FF by the way - you can't tell from the photo, but one of the goals of the brackets was to have the thin profile lights actually contour to the truck's bumper. This way they do not stand proud of the hitch itself...

That setup looks fantastic! I like how high up the receiver is compared to other brands. Did you have to modify the front fascia much?

I would like the same thing for my '03, but rather than light brackets I'd like to weld on some tow hook rings.

Thanks. This system actually mounts to the existing tow hooks - and I have a receiver shakle that I'll use if I need to pull anyone out.

As far as installation goes, I didn't have to modify anything. So it was "easy"... . once they sent me the correct length bolts!
