Truck is usually covered but left out at fabricators for a couple months and recently a week or two of rain. Stinks now. Lifted a matt and smelled rear passenger side carpet... it stunk... water must be coming in somewhere. Is there a common leak area? I have rear slider and 3500 clearance lights. George

IIRC, some trucks had a problem with the rear high mounted stop light thing, some also had a problem with the rear slider window not sealing correctly. Thats where I would start.

I mentioned the "issue" with my grandkids in the care today and the oldest grandaughter said "Hey Grammie, remember we spilled over the big coffee urn on the way to Auntie's garage sale?" Grammie forgot to clean it up (it was hot water) on that busy day and Grampie's truck stinks now. Heading over to my son's place who has that mold killer stuff he uses in a sideline carpet business. You spray it in and let it soak up and dry then steam clean it out. At least I am not chasing leaks all over the cab. That is a good thing. Thanks for your helps. George

is this product available to all, or is it a retricted use product you need a license to get?

From McDowell Supply in Seattle. Product is Micro Ban... about $28/gal. Use it straight... then extract. Does not take much. George

i had a leak when truck was new. it was coming in threw 3rd brake light dripping off headliner, hitting rear seat headrest then soaking its way threw the whole seet and puddling on the floor. found it one day cause my truck started to smell danky inside. i never have passengers so i didnt know about leak at first. when i tilted back seat up water drained out into the puddle under the seat. dealer replaced light as well and rear door seals and cleaned up the interior for me. been fine for 20,000 miles now.
