Went to the farm to get my 5er and noticed almost needed fuel when I left. Anyhow on the way home the truck stop I normally use was closed and the guage read E. I just flipped the switch and started using oem tank that was left. My better half told me the 1k for the aux just paid for itself cause she was worring about getting in to another place to fuel up with the trailer in tow. If you tow or haul u need one.

Okie-Go,

Couldn't agree more that an extra tank will ease the mind while traveling. The big advantage is that the extra tank allows you to pick and choose your fill-up locations. Many times that saves ya lots of green. Dave

Got back from Dallas last Thur. with the new American 90 gal. Tank/Toolbox combo installed. Saturday I made a trip to Springfield, Mo. to help move my son back to the Tulsa area. OEM tank got dry in Mo. and switched to the aux. instead of buying more expensive diesel in Mo. I can already see an extra tank will let me be a lot more selective in buying fuel. I'm looking for a 5er now and can see the aux. tank will REALLY be nice while traveling long distance. I have had mine less than a week and I agree with you it's money well spent.

Sometime in the next couple of months, I'll try to get my Aerotanks 60 gal tank re-installed in my 2001 (it came out of my 96 before I traded it). The thing is, I think I'll have to have about 14" cut off the front of it before it's installed, so it'll clear the transfer case, now that it was pushed back 12" by the US Gear Overdrive.

That'll be expensive... <sigh>

(which is why I haven't been in a big hurry)
