Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I have 01 Ram 2500 with 24valve an automatic trans. I purchased the truck on the 1st of May. It has a banks stinger plus module/system. Two weeks later car lot realize that it hadn't gotten smogged before going on the lot. They asked for it back in order to smog it. They gave me a loaner (Honda Accord). After sitting at the smog shop for 4 days waiting to be tested they found the monitors wouldn't reset. 2 other shops tried an failed. It has been at the Dodge dealership for a week an they can't get the monitors to reset or give a time frame when/ if they can fix it. The car lot is covering the costs. They're blaming it on a tune. But I'm wondering if the banks system could be the issue. The only Stinger-Plus system I've found for the 24 valve is for a motor home. I plan to ask Banks on Monday but thought I'd ask you thoughts. My other truck was sold so if they unwind the deal I'm without any transportation once I return the loaner.
