Thought I would post up the flickr photo album of the mud racing 12 valve I've been building, the truck is now all one color, low gloss black tractor paint. Just a few more things to get done on it before the first race. Need to build the front and rear bumpers/clevis attachments, build the seat mounts and mount the seats and seatbelts, and weld up the rear end on it.

This will, of course, be a trailer queen? Bright, shiny, pristine? Good enough to win its share of show-n-shines across the land?

I kill me!

Looks good! You'll have to post a video of its virgin mud fight.

Technically I could tag it with a farm tag and if I wanted to wire up the tail lights I could drive it on the road. I might even use it as my bad weather feed vehicle on the farm... . I'm getting excited, can't wait to see how it does. I'm going to take it to a truck scale and weigh the front, back and total truck to see just how it's sitting now, I know I've shaved off quite a bit of weight and redistributed more to the back end by shortening it up.

I'll keep the old chat crew up to date while thier snacking on thier PB.

Nice build. Did you use the channel you cut out of the frame to plate, of box, the welded section? Just curious?

We shortened my brother's truck last year for his mud truck. First race is April 25th, on the count down now to get things finished.
