What is a good open air tv antenna for hdtv?

Considering buying land in Montana to try it out. If I like it I'll build a house and make the permanent move. Anyone been there / live there? Just looking for like and dislikes. Im into atv's, fishing, shooting, mqybe hunting and a horse or two... .

Kenny,

Montana is a REALLY big state so it depends on what part you are talking about. Eastern Montana is totally different from western Montana. A lot of the state is vast prairie, other parts are huge wheat fields, beautiful lakes and streams in other parts, still others have great mountain ranges and beautiful forests.

A lot of the "beautiful people":-laf (read Ted Turner, Tom Brokaw, David Letterman, et-al) have bought land there and have run up prices significantly. If I were you I'd rent a house or condo and get a feel for the area your thinking about before laying out the price of a purchase when you might be better suited for another area.

It is an awesome state. They don't call it the "Big Sky Country" for nothing!

What area of Montana are you looking to buy land?

You could be opening a bag of Bees by asking this question due to Most native Montana people have been priced out of the market by rich out of staters looking at buying a piece of paradise at any price. It is happening in SD and is creeping into ND also. But most people are now realizing this after seeing what has happened in Montana and are only willing to sell to the people who want to use the land for production "Agriculture" Young farmers still need to have a chance at it if we all want to eat.

As far as I am concerned I just don't see "Hobby farm Horse meat" replacing good farm raised "BEEF" on any resteraunt menus. ;)

looking for something in the mountains or with mountain views. something with trees. I am by no means rich but could live comfortably with my pension. I'm looking for 10-20 acres of paradise with no nearby neighbors so that I can relax and be left alone. After living in NY all my life I am tired of having to make my neighbors happy when it comes to picking a house color when I cut my grass when icut down a dead tree etc etc etc. I want to live somwhere where I can do what I want and you can do what you want and not have to pay 15k a year in property tax to do it. WOW I'M BITTER... LOL

Guess that is one reason I will not be returning to Montana, aka the mother country, when I leave Wyoming in nine years. Bozeman, which was a cow college town of 10K when I was in High School (Helena) is not a yuppieville of TOOOOOOO many folks who brought their attitude and ideas with them, harrrrruuuummmphhhh. Right now I'm in Bozeman visiting the wife for the Labor Day weekend. I'm using the computer at the library and there was a kid poster on my way in that said Bozangeles. How appropriate. Oh well, enough from the curmudgeon
