Anyone?

See below to what I said in color

You know another thing that's funny is picking money up off the ground... to this day, I'll still stop to pick up a penny... must have been that old saying "A penny saved is a penny earned!"

I and my wife will when we see a coin on the ground. Just the other day she found a quarter in the parking lot.

How many of ya'll picked up soda water bottles and turned 'em in for a refund on the deposit. Too bad we can't do that today with everything... we'd solve a lot of today's littering and recycling. I used to have a wooden Coke crate wired (with clothes hangers) to my lawnmower. I had a gallon metal can wired to the handle. Has about 10 residences and one mom and pop motel I mowed every two weeks. I was a money making rascal.

n MI you can get $0.10 a bottle refund regardless if it is plastic of glass. I believe cans are a $0.05 each that are not dented. Most of the major retailers have machines that you insert the can/bottle in. The machine will count how many you have inserted and provide a slip with the amount of money the store owes you. You do not see any bottles/undented cans laying on the road side in MI.

We live out in the country, but a lot of years ago, kids quit coming by to cut grass... now you have to cut it or have a lawn service do it.

Anhoo, I'm reminiscing whilst consuming beer.

Cheers, Ron

Moon Pies are made in Chattanooga, TN. Shipped Lind distance, they do tend to dry out. However, here in Georgia, the ones we get are fresh and the fresh ones are great. They just released a lemon flavored moon pie a couple of months ago and they are very good.

We had Scooter Pies growing up here in the New York Metropolitan area. I remember my Mom packing one in my lunch box when I was in elementary school many years ago. I think the Scooter Pie was named for NY Yankees shortstop Phil “Scooter” Rizzuto…View attachment 130719

My wife came home today with a box of cookies called a moon pie. I had never heard of them. They were terrible. Has anyone ever had one ? And did/do you actually like them ? She says she remembers them from when she was a kid, and says they taste about the same.
She wont eat these either.

Did you grow up under a rock? lolololol
