I installed the MOPAR accessory extend-able towing mirrors (remote/heated/signals) on my '06 years ago and now need to replace the LED turn signals that are molded into the sides of the mirror housing.

There is a screw that is visible on the inside of the housing that holds the turn signal but it is not accessible with the mirror in place.

I've been told the mirror snaps off the remote drive motor with a release tab but for the life of me can not seem to find that tab anywhere.

Anyone with helpful hints please clue me in...

Thanks!

I don't know if this will help you or not-

About a year ago my dealer replaced the mirror on the passenger side, he adjusted the mirror to the full up, down or side to side I can't remember which, then he could reach behind the mirror. I just wish that I could remember which way. Maybe he adjusted it to the inside to the stops?

Genos Garage sells the same mirror, you might want to contact them about a replacement light and how to remove/replace it. I have the same mirrors ( I think ), they are commonly referred to as 'elephant ears' and pull out? Dodge proably sells replacement lights as well, but getting/finding a part number . . well . . could be totally a PITA dealing with them.

The part numbers for the LED signals:

68000340AA

68000341AA

Dodge likes them alot at $80 each but most on-line dealers have them in the $55-60 range each.

Still trying to figure out how to get the mirrors off without having to spend more money at the dealer for replacement glass... ...

I'll reach out to the folks at Geno's and see what they have to say...

I'll be sure to post up what ever I come across for the greater good
