I thought Mopar ATF+4 was a dealership only item, that is was not offered in the part's store. Or is this Murrays auto a dealership!

Hey the details don't matter to me. All I know is Mopar brand ATF+4 is on the shelf at a great price at my local auto parts store.

Chris

Yep Mopar ATF+4 on the shelf at murries in canton also...

It amazes me!! Truck goes in for new steering gear box and leaves dealer with 1 QT low on fluid. And power sterring cap is not twisted all the way on!!

Also motor oil changed by dealer and leaves dealership with 1 QT low !!!! What service!!!!!!

I never sweat the details either! That's the last I heard was the dealership, hopefully I"ll start seeing it in my area part's store at cheaper than dealership prices also.

curatchko or Firewalker,

Can you post some contact info for Murrays Auto Parts. Maybe I can have some shipped to me in Oklahoma.

I tried to do a search on the net, but no luck.

Michael

For what its worth, I plugged ATF+4 into a Google search, and got a story about an outfit called the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association. The first paragraph reads:

"ILMA last week asked the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to bring an enforcement action against the Daimler Chrysler Corporation (DCC) for violations of the Manguson-Moss Warranty Act (Act) and the Commission’s implementing regulations. The Association said that the automaker has unfairly restricted access to its ATF+4® transmission fluid and has engaged in improper tying arrangements under the Act. The Association has been rebuffed by DCC in its efforts to raise members’ concerns directly with the automaker. "

I wondered why I didn't see ATF+4 on the shelf at Wally World.

Anyone know the status of this...

I'm looking for fluid here in So. CA. that is "recommended" by DCC other than purchasing at the dealer.

No Murray's here.

Anyone know who makes/packages ATF+4 for DCC?

Thanks,

Brian

Brain, as of last month it is ongoing case, the easy way to tell if it is ATF+4 is to smell it,the smell is way different than the other fluids, also it has more integrity when on your fingers
