Mopar locking gas cap

This thing isn't very secure. I got the Mopar one yesterday, put it on, and noticed that if you press down hard enough it pops right off when locked. Is this one defective, or did I waste $13?

When you put the cap on turn it till you get at least three clicks.

I got one too, mine works fine, take it BACK. My dealer charged $14. 50

If I push in firmly and turn it will come off when it's locked. if you just try ot turn it like a regular cap, it spins and clicks like it's locked. I'll have to visit the dealer again. Thanks!

I just went out and checked mine and it won't come off until I unlock it. I'd take it back if you can't get it to work right.
