Hey Gang!

I don't post in here often.

I'm one of those fanatical people that doesn't beleave in overkill, JUST KILL.

I ordered my ETH/DEE w/o the Tow Pkg because I wanted Draw Tite's # 41923 Ultra Frame Receiver... ARGGHHH ARRRGGGH ARRRRGH!
http://www.draw-tite.com/findhtch/results3. asp?make=Dodge&year=2001&class=CLASS+IV&model=Pickup%2C+Ram%2C+Full+Size&style=&Go=Go

Problem comes in when installing Mopar's 7pin wiring harness and 7pin mounting bracket. Draw-tite's Class V Hitch does not have a mounting bracket like Mopar's Class IV.

IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS TYPE OF INSANTITY BEFORE, WHERE/HOW DID YOU MOUNT THE BRACKET?

I don't want to drill into the hitch, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to drill the bumper either, but a little weld of bracket to hitch may be in order?

Thx

MAD MAX

Mad Max - I replaced the POS DC hitch with the Draw-Tite Ultra and used the Draw-Tite 6/7 way mounting box that clamps to the hitch. PN: 18157 or 18159. You can see a pic of these at draw-tite.com under the electrical products.
