Two years ago The shift solenoids went out, so I decided it’d be a good time to do some upgrades. So I installed the following items
New shift solenoids
New “Gm” Billet block and solenoid
New (Stock) transducer
Superior shift enhancement kit
Billet servo
There was another billet part..piston.. maybe..it’s been a while and CRS is showing it’s face..lol..
New Band
And of course fluid/filter etc..
Also advanced the TtV gear one tooth if memory serves me correctly..
At any rate the trucks been fine, it did have a little shuttle shift/hunt at lower RPMs (15-1700) but if you got on it a little it’d shift fine with no hunting. Basically if you kept rpms at 2k or higher it’d shift fine.
Now however outta the blue, it’s downshifting from 2nd to 1st.
The 1-2 upshift is fine, but after shifting it down shifts completely back to first, shooting RPMs up to about 3k, then it’ll up shift to 2nd again. Once it makes the 2-3 upshift it’s does fine from there, it locks up and all is well. However if you stop it’s the same game all over again.
Also if you step on it from a standstill, (Not necessarily wot) just getting on it more than usual, the 1-2 shift Is fine, but it has to run up to 3k rpms or so to make the shift, but it shifts crisp and doesn’t drop back to 1st.
Also had no CEL or codes stored, but I do occasionally get a Brake/Abs light on startup that goes off as soon as the truck starts rolling.
I’m guessing the transducer May be to blame, and was considering the BD “Upgrade” just not sure it’s necessary for my DD.
Also considering replacing Both the output shaft sensor and Rear Abs/speed sensor, with the intermittent light.
seeing as both front hub assemblies are only 2 years old as well I’m banking on the rear sensor being the culprit..
So What’s y’all’s opinion on this current issue?

If you used the stock transducer start there, Rostra brand is supposed to be a better part for that application. While you are at it replace the output shaft seed sensor as it is part of the shifting and control algorithm. Sometimes you can pull them and clean and buildup off of them they will work better.
