For anyone wanting more pics of my hood go to www.xmission.com/~rotohead/mytruck.htm

Then click on the "More Pics" link in the middle of the page. Sorry about the poor quality of web page design and I'm not much of a photographer either. If anyone wants shots from other angles, etc. just let me know. Only taken a couple short drives but so far I'm very happy with this product. I know the cost is prohibitive for alot of people but I feel this is one of the best upgrades I've done for the money.

Excellent pix rotohead! I'm glad that you got the pics out there for all to see.

After having my Air Bulldog induction hood installed for just over a week now I'm still extremely pleased with it! It was apparent just on the 800+ mile trip home through all kinds of temperature variances that this hood did perform!

Like always, I can't leave well enough alone. I have to BOMB the BOMB enhancement. Yeehaw! #ad

What a Truck!
That hood says "Step Away From The Cage and DON'T Feed the Ram"
I have e-mail on the way for the cost.
Also, does this have to be Manuf. installed?

You can email me direct for cost info. rotohead@xmission.com
As for install... Doug will ship but I would encourage people to have Doug do the install. He puts alot of thought/care into his product and not so sure that other body shops would do the same. The airbox, aft cooler tube and grille are pretty much bolt-on with the hood alignment and hood latching the toughest part. I also wish there were some way to get accurate performance data because the little I've driven locally, I can tell there's a significant performance improvement. One of the primary things I was going for w/the hood is to have a quiet cab and it certainly does that. I'm looking forward to a road trip or two.

Cusiousity; whenever I see one of these functional ram-air hoods I can't help but wonder what keeps them from sucking water in a hard rain?

Mark, funny you ask that because I just came back from running some errands and in the Salt Lake valley there have been a ton of thunderstorms dumping alot of rain. The kind of downpours where the wipers on high just makes it worse. I'm driving around the valley looking for the heaviest downpours, my dog was surely thinking I've gone crazy and then running home to get in the garage and see where the water is going. Three times doing that (drying everything off everytime I did this) and never saw a drop of water in the lower air box. Not even a drop (at least no evidence of moisture) at the drain hole at the lowest point of the curve in the airbox. You can certainly call Doug (208-232-2469) and he'll explain what he's designed into this unit but there is a water deflector just into the inlet, then there is a lip around the passenger side hole about and inch and a half high that prevents water from proceeding and then the design of the lower part of the airbox, with the lowest point of the curve being well below the filter, I just don't see any way, short of total submersion, that water will ever get to the filter. I can't ever imagine driving through more rain then I just drove through today. I'm glad I saw this today because I will not worry about rain/water (car washes, etc. ) entering the engine. And I would expect the same w/snow.

The water that enters the two scoops remains on the lower panel of the two piece fiberglass hood, draining out four holes in the side, edge of the hood (two on each side, one towards the front, one towards the rear). The drain holes are positioned so the water will run down the OUTSIDE of the fenders. The air entering the scoops is deflected several times off of the lower panel of the hood thereby separating the air and water.

After my 800+ mile trip home from Doug's I discovered my whole front end was COMPLETELY (AS IN WALLPAPERED!) covered in bugs... the first thing I thought of was how many were in the air box and/or clogging the K&N air filter element???? After removing the air box cover and filter I was totally blown away by what I saw #ad
there were NO bugs in the air box base or filter! The only evidence I saw was a (small) partial wing of some insect. Absolutely amazing! BTW, the drain hole in the air box base is NOT large enough to allow bugs to "drain" out.

The design of this induction hood is very well engineered. #ad
