I Just Picked Up My 1999 2500 And I Was Woundering If There Is Any Way To Adjust The Boost On The Turbo To Get A Little More Out Of It.

u can get an adjustable wastegate actuator. i picked up one for my 01 and it made a difference. it cost me a bout 50 bucks, but there are many different ones out there. on mine, it went on the hose from the turbo to the wastegate.

I bought a adj boost elbow and don't need it, because my software takes care of it. It was cheap, it is new. I also have a 0-30 isspro gauge, installed 1 week, replaced it with a 0-60 because I max at 36 psi. PM me if you are intrested they are both for sale.

Just a note, you will need a boost fooler if you raise the boost.

Boost foolers are built into most power boxes or you can simply buy a boost fooler. It keeps the computer from seeing the higher boost. If the computer sees a higher than 20 psi boost it sets a code.

Your 99 uses a hx35 turbo, so the brass elbow and some way to fool the signal to the computer.

Don't set it higher than 35.

Would I Need A Boost Fooler If I Get An Adj Boost Elbow Or Do I Need Both To Be Able To Fool The Computer So I Do Not Throw A Code?

Full Tilt, FYI - unless you've increased power with a box or injectors you'll see zero gain in HP by increasing boost. Been there done that.

You will need both to fool the computer.

A 'box' is an eletronic devise that plugs into the compuer by way of the map sensor and possibly the injection pump to add timing/fuel or either.

Piers diesel sells them, I think they are $60-70.
