Lone Star TDR made a trip to the dyno this afternoon. Here are my numbers:

Run #1 - 204. 8hp / 428. 4ft-lbs (Stock)

Run #2 - 237. 7hp / 498. 7ft-lbs (EZEdge)

Run #3 - 281. 9hp / 592. 3ft-lbs (PEdge LV3)

Peak numbers don't alway's tell the whole story. The EZEdge added 46hp at 1850rpm compared to stock at 1850rpm on my truck although the peak horsepower gain was 33hp.

... as alway's, YMMV

Is run #3 with the PE only or with the PE/EZ combo ? I'm guessing PE only as you don't have the combo listed. Thanks for posting !!!

It should be PE only. Mine sits at 280hp on Level III on my PE. Nice 100hp gain at the touch of a button.

Here is what the EZ does to a ETH. This was run on the dyno in Las Vegas.
My truck is stock except for the EZ and supplied boost elbo.

Stock HP 211. 2

EZ Edge 247. 1

Stock Tq Max 468 2200 RPM

EZ Tq 627 1800

Largest HP increase 1800 RPM Stock 130 EZ 215

Bigsaint-

The run #3 is the PE only. TXRam and I ran the two together for about five runs a few months ago... oddly enough, the beginning of my *real* clutch troubles.

WTF... I thought the Edge EZ was supposed to make more BHP than the VA CPC???? The dyno results posted here show an increase of 32. 3 BHP and 35. 9 BHP respectively... averaged out, that's 34. 1 BHP. Sport Bike dynoed the VA CPC at 42 BHP. What the He!! is going on here???? The advertised output claim of the VA CPC is 60 HP (at the flywheel) and I believe the Edge EZ claims 65 BHP (i. e. , as in HP TO THE GROUND... you know, BRAKE HP). #ad

John, Go back re-read 243's statement below the table. The max gain was 46HP at about 1850rpm.

Barry also made a statement resembling that. You don't get the max benefit from either box at peak HP levels - the highest benefit is in the low end.

Barry, did you have any EGT problems with the EZ on the dyno and did the Stock clutch hold ok with just the EZ? Thanks Pete

John,

I only picked up 22. 9 peak hp. Stock 193hp/VA 215. 9hp. It made 42hp differnce at 1850rpm. I have a EZ now and it makes alittle more power than a VA. What I like about it is the ability to slow down the fueling until you start making boost. This keeps you from over fueling the engine in low boost situations. Hope this helps clear up a few things.

OOPS! I guess I jumped the gun... I only looked at the numbers on the left (Run #1, Run #2 etc. ). Still, it seems the 65 BHP claimed power increase of the Edge EZ is a ghost figure (ditto for the VA).

After having driven two different auto. equipped (ETC) Rams (both 4x4s with 3. 54:1 gearing) with both having the Bosch 275s, one with the VA and one with the Edge EZ, I would say the EZ equipped Ram was a little quicker. The VA equipped Ram was at a disadvantage though as it had 285s as opposed to the 265s that were on the EZ equipped Ram.

I suppose this is where the manufactures of the aforementioned equipment state: HP and torque increases were documented on our state of the art equipment under laboratory conditions, your results may very (i. e. , if you actually make roughly half the "claimed" amount we want to hire you to join our engineering team). #ad

What the He!! ever happened to: "You will make 50 more BHP with our modification"... AND SUBSEQUENTLY DID????

Pete

No EGT problems on the dyno. I could slip my clutch at lower RPM's hence the McLeod clutch.

John; I gained 85 hp at 1800 RPMS. 130 VS 215 with the EZ only.

Barry... you slipped that stock clutch with only an EZ ? WOW am I glad the McLeod is going in soon !!! I been riding mine harder, now that I have my clutch in my hands (note: not in the truck yet) and I have not slipped it once. Of course, this while riding empty.
