I have had problems in the past with my 2003 quad cab. First I though I had problems with the stereo and clock shutting off and turning on at random. I replaced the head unit with an Alpine unit with a direct battery connection and that's been fine. Now I'll get a quick flash on the security system light o the dash, even though I don't have that feature on my truck, and the door locks won't function on either the door switches or key fob! Start the truck and the door locks function as normal. Is this the MIC cluster reflash problem? When this happens I can't lock or unlock the truck without the key.

I would take it back to the dealer and start stomping my feet. Electrical is probably the worst thing to de-bug when something starts going wrong. This should not be happening on a one year old truck, no matter what the mileage.

Or maybe better yet you could skip the childish antics that Sticks recommends and just take it into the dealer. Why is it you guys badmouth the dealers so bad but when you run into a problem.....

I'll have to agre with that Bob.

It is the factory or the manufacture (of electronic components) that messed up.

You shouldn't blame the dealer until they royally messed up the truck or give you the run around.
