Lots of discussions on the FASS fuel delivery system but I have a few unanswered questions before I get one.

1. Does the power supply come from the OEM lift pump via a pigtail or similar?

2. How much are a set of filters?

3. Has anyone been able to install a pre filter pressure gauge?

4. How do you know when the filters need changing?

5. I don't think that there is a fuel heater built in, has anyone in the cold parts of the country had any problems this winter (I live in Canada)?

Any info will be muchly appeciated

More info- the water filter has a drain plug and can be cleaned out. A lifetime filter, or 18. 50 new.

The other filter is 30-50k, and is 25. 00 give or take.

more info

power=comes with harness and plugs in existing harness

prefilter guage= should not be a problem just put a tee in there is plenty of room. dont really think you need one though. My pressure guage screws in on the base of the system and reads post filter.

I'd like to see pictures of a third gen install. Anybody got some they would like to share? Thanks.

Thanks guys, that clears it up a bit, although I am not sure on the pre filter woodsrat. The pre filter take out point must be between the pump and the filters, not in the intake line between the tank and the pump. With my present set up using 2 gauges I know the pressure drop across the filter. If I have a low pressure at the VP pump I can then tell if it is the transfer pump or the filter giving me the problem.

Go into the User Control Panel and click on "Edit Profile". Enter the info where it says "Signature".

you will not have a line between the pump and the filters with the FASS when fuel enters the pump it goes to the filters all in one unit, then straight to the VP. Not like going from tank to LP to filter to VP.

Thanks. I agree, so I can't get a tap for the gauge before the filter after the punp. What I was looking for was the pressure to the filter
