noisy/surging fass pump

any problems returning my bypass filter setup to a valve cover?

This is how it's done...

Talk to Piers Diesel Research, Advanced Diesel Technology, South Bend Clutch, and F1 Diesel.

You will get 372RWHP, and 1,200* EGT at 30PSI on the stock charger.

Add Laredo Performance Diesel,

You will get 420-440RWHP at 30-36PSI and 1,500-1,700*F.

Add Adkins Diesel Performance,

You will get 520-546RWHP at ?PSI and 1400-1475*F, and one dam good tow rig. Oo.

Pictures coming soon.

BTW, Another truck setup similarly with near exact same streetablility as mine is running a Lil '55 from J. R. and F1's 4. 6's compared to my 4. 8's. (Same EGT's too)

On a 60 to 100 street race roll-on, we pulled perfectly level. A perfect tie.

He ran at the track, and pulled a 2. 2 or 2. 4 60', and ran a 14. 1 @ 101 1/4 mile.

With a LOT of room for improvment to. He didn't have the best launches, plus his turbo was not anywhere close to being broken in, which is makes a difference of night and day on that particular turbo I hear.

I just wanted to point out that at this time this is all fairly presumptuous on your part. Due to the fact that you only have a 35PSI boost gauge, 1600 degree temp probe and there was no tach signal picked up, so you have no torque reading to substantiate that HP number.

Considering I ran a 14. 34 at 94mph on my little old 346HP he is either slower than a seven year itch off the line or has a bit less HP than he’s been led to believe.

Other than that, pigs can fly back here in Illinois too…. LOL

I regress, I posted in haste. Here's some more details...

I'm running J. R's twins...

Small setup, but a big improvement.

A Stock HX-35/12 on the top, and a tiny HT3B/22 on the bottom.

I dyno'd 426RWHP on Monday, the following Monday, I dynod 546RWHP with the twins bolted on.

I'm going to order a 60 or 100Lb gauge soon so I can really know my boost. My boost gauge was one of the little things I over looked. I jumped in the truck, and looked at my gauge and said, oh crap, I forgot to put a bigger gauge.

The friend I raced was also running an automatic, so the 1/4 mile times are a bit off. On the highway we pulled steady with each other in O. D. No downshifting between the two of us.

I figured, since we pulled together, and our weights were near the same, we were similar in HP.

I'll give yall some more details as I put some more miles.

so you laid down that power on twins using a stock 35 for the first stage? thats encouraging.

I have been talking with J. R. about a twin setup but found some used PDR twins I'm going to start with first. Saved myself about $1500 and can still upgrade the primary and maybe go to an 18 housing on the HX when i want to go bigger. I'm shooting for the 12's with this truck.

I have the hx40/16 with Ht3b/26 coming my way. I got them from a military man currently serving our country overseas (IraQ i think) so i felt better knowing i was helping him out too. I still plan to see JR for the rest of my needs though.

I had a 40/16 3B/26 on my 12V. That's a great combo. Started building boost real good at 2,200RPM, towed awesome at 2,500RPM. That equaled 75MPH in direct.

I have yet to tow with my twins. I have some gauges to get before I start towing for a long haul.

I might be towing this week or early next week a bit.

You picked up 120rwhp by just adding twins? Also if I may ask what truck? thanks in advance Jeff
