CB,
Your truck has the New Process Gear 205 transfer case. THe band adjustments are easy. Philip helped me with mine and I feel confident that I could do it again with no troubles. You might consider a deeper transmission pan or adding a gauge and sending unit while you have the pan off for transmission service. By not adjusting the bands, the transmission could start slipping, especially if you tow. I sue Dextron III in the transmission. The limited slip additive is for use in a limited slip differential. If you don't use it, there will be grinding and lots of bad noises from the LS clutches. Do both of the rear tires spin in mud, or do you have a one wheel wonder? If both tires spin, you need the LS additive.

Edit: Crap, this goes for BB-Parker's more questions
