more milage woes!!

i have followed several threads on milage-- (esp. bernies ) can't find it now- nuts!! anyway-- after all my reading this must be dumb, but can the nv5600 final ratio be "tweakd" a little to be instead of. 73 to . 70 or whatever will make up for a bad rear ratio, and no help from aam??--03 6sp ho 4x4 lb qc. - and i don't tow heavy- but do drive from alaska to l. a. and need economy!! ever buy fuel in the Yukon!?? thanks bob n

You could get a taller tire and limit the overall tread size. The wider/taller tire will add weight and can cause lower MPG if you go to big. Buy an over/under drive unit or buy my 06 Honda Civic. It gets 40 MPG highway...
