Had a CTD dually come in to the dealership yesterday with a very bad fuel leak. The owner had let someone install a cheap fuel filter. It broke open (!!!) at the seam and was pouring fuel on the ground. I showed him the OIL filter memo and it scared him a little bit! We gave him his bad filter to take back to his installer so I can't tell you what brand it was.
The moral of the story is, I think we should stick to the recomended filters, oil and fuel, and cover our butts.
