More Power! Is it all in my mind?

I'm not a fad / gadget / trendy kinda person. I don't spend money on software to make my computer go faster, etc... . I'm a skeptic about promises that some cheap stuff can make other stuff better.



But -- Here's The Scenario:



Tank was 1/2 full. Bought some http://www.powerservice.com/ fuel treatment w/4 cetane boost from a truck stop. 96 oz jug for $14. 00.



Put about 1/5 of the jug (20 oz to treat 34 gal of fuel) in and then filled up my tank.



Drove for about 5 miles and the truck feels like it has a 20% (or some number that you would deem to represent obvious) power increase.



Came home -- had dinner. Went and drove it again to check to see if I was crazy. Extra power still there.



Honestly -- Is this all in my mind?



Opinions wanted!

I can't say I notice more power but do find the engine seems to feel and sound more refined with their Diesel Kleen. I have never tried what you use. I buy it for the Cetane and added lubricicity.

Yup -- The Diesel Kleen you bought is preferable in my climate to what I bought but this is all the truck stop carried. When I read the data at the Power Service website it says the Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost & anit-gel I bought won't hurt if used year-round.



After I go through this bottle I'll look for the Diesel Kleen.



I wonder why they would even stock the Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost & anit-gel in my climate. I guess it's that long distance truckers move in and out of harsh climates and if this doesn't hurt anything, it's the most comprehensive product to carry.



I'm going to hand calc my MPG this tank and see if there is a change. I'll try not to drive any easier or harder than normal but it's hard not to have a heavy foot if I have the notion that I'm getting more power! #ad
