Friend's truck won't start

Hey folks,

Curious if other's have this experience - 1992, 16cm2, pump tweaked a bit, PW injectors, flo-pro exhaust.

I swear my truck is much faster, power comes on quite a bit stronger when cold. Is there something avancing the pump timing (KSB Selenoid??) when cold that quits advancing as things warm up?

Any other reason for this?

Hi Nordby,

Yup, you got it. The KSB does advance the "timing" to help with smoke when cold. It shuts down when the engine warms up. Seems like yours is working fine from what you describe.

One of the things I haven't done with this truck yet is to have it timed correctly. Looks like I have some power hiding in a timing adjustment.
