Well, I finally took the truck to get dyno'd. Put it on a DYNOJET and let it rip.

Well, in 5th I couldn't build full boost, only about 28 ish lbs. It put down around 650 ft/lbs. I didn't think I would get much more power, but it zipped through 5th gear before it sounded like the truck was really pulling.

So we ran it again in 6th gear, boost might have hit 31 psi this time. Not full boost (34-35 is my max), but the torque went up to 756 ft/lbs!! Woohoo.

So, I got 328hp and 756 ft/lbs with what you see in my sig. I did one run without the VA box, and I put down 287 hp. Not bad at all.

Honestly, I didn't think I would have been making this much with the mods that I have done to my truck! I knew the hp range I should have been in, but I didn't think I would be at the top of that range for what parts I have on my truck.

I was thinking I would get around 300 ish HP and 650 ish ft/lbs.

Not that I am complaining, the truck runs great, feels great, and it MOVES. But doesn't this seem a bit high for my truck?

Those numbers are pretty high for just a VA and 275s. Usually this combo is closer to 300hp even.

Some trucks DO run stronger than others. Mine dynoed 390rwhp and 918lb-ft with just an EZ and DD2s. I'd say my numbers are off by 40hp and 135-150 lb-ft. You can't always trust what the dyno says, unfortunately.

Lots of dyno operators add in a correction factor that's wrong. An NA gasser loses more power in altitude than a CTD would. Thus, my high-altitude dyno is reading too high.

I think I'm closer to 350hp, maybe 780ish for tq.

Who knows? Your numbers might be right and you just have a really strong truck. I think there's a least a little fudge in there, though.

I think I happen to have a really good one, but not over 900lb-ft good with just an EZ and DD2s...

Well, we are only a couple hundred feet over sea level, it was 80° and there was high humidity.

I also only have the 2wd truck, so less power lost to the Tcase.

It seems that almost all dynos are 4x4 trucks. I know that doesn't make up for that much of a power difference, but it should count some.

I know my truck runs strong, and I know it will pull a heavy load without very much trouble.

Maybe my RV272 injectors are just worn out and are giving me more fuel and power ;)

I am really happy with how the truck runs. I still want some Mach 1. 5 injectors, and might change the turbo later when I move back to northern CA and higher altitudes. But for now the truck runs great and I am enjoying the power, which is what counts.

And getting 19. 5 mpg city mileage at the same time, love that part :)
