Hello all I have a 93 engine in my 97 ram. I don't nearly have the power that I want. I have done some reading and I turned the diaphram in the pump from my 12 to my 3 o'clock and when I start it up and hit the throttle I get white smoke like it is too lean. Yeas I did go cw and not ccw. Any help would be great on why this is. My p-pumped engine is on the ground from over fueling and I am nervous about the same thing happening to this engine. The diaphram is back at stock now. Like old school said he has seen two trucks that the stock setting on the diaphram that does not face the valve cover, well lets make that 3 because mine is the same way. Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

White smoke is uncombusted fuel, its pretty normal on a cold engine. If you get it only on a cold start and it goes away when warm its normal.

If you are still getting it even after it is up to temp then you have an injection pump problem not the AFC setting.
