This is my first post and I just received my magazine in the mail. I have fixed my truck twice just by reading over some of the old messages. So now I can post some of my own. So far I've learned alot about my truck and how to ugrade it. I would like to know how much power I would get out of my truck with changing to the 16cm housing,changing my injectors and giving the pump a little more juice. I haven't decided on the injectors, any suggestions will help. My brother has a 98. 5,5 speed and thinks he's pretty hot stuff. I think he's around the 230 mark. Am I thinking on the right track. Any help with prices and suggestions. Thanks.

I've added the stuff listed below in my sig, and can EASILY blow away MY brother-in-laws 95 stock diesel - we both have EXACTLY the same 5th wheel trailers, and when he's maxed out at 45 mph on steep grades, I'm at 65 and still accellerating... I've lately done the basic tweaks to my injector pump, and around-town power is GREATLY increased - can't wait to get the fiver up in the hills again... #ad

Hi Troutdog, welcome to the group. In my new and humble opinion if your looking for improvements:
1) pyro and transmission temp boost gauges
2) exhaust
3) injectors/pump timing/tweaking
4) 14cm housing (16cm if $'s is an issue)
I think thats the order I would take next time round to get the most for my $'s and keep track of my changes.
Remeber gauges are absolute necessity to give you some baseline readings before and after mods results.
