I have a 95' club cab with 3. 54's and a tired auto. I pull a 18' equipment trailer with a kubota backhoe. (estimated weight 6,000 to 8,000lbs. )I've owned truck since new, it has 130,00. What mods. are best for my application and is there a good shop near Va. ?Any suggestions would be helpful. I've been a TDR member since 1996,but don't like computers.

thanks,

Rick in Va.

If your trans is getting tired then it's a good idea to trade it in on a DTT. Not much more expensive than a stock rebuild and miles ahead of it in performance. Check:

You can also ask Bill who is a good installer near you.

My truck is just about the same as yours. I have a TST #5 torque plate in mine and it runs very well. According to TST a #5 plate is not recommended for a stock auto. The DTT handles it quite well. Also need at least an EGT gauge if you add power. For anything more than just a plate get hold of Piers Harry for recommendations and the right stuff:
