More Questions for the Experts

[Case500D]

I am in the process of strategically spending some play money. I am going to install a 16 cm trubo housing, an Autometer boost guage, and an Autometer pyrometer. I am going to mount the guages in a pillar mount pod.

My question for y'all is where is a good spot to hook the guage lights into the dash lights? I would like my extra guages to dim and turn on/off with the dash lights. I sure appreciate the help.

You guys are great time savers. Wait a minute though, if it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be mildy BOBMing my truck. Deep stuff. . . . .

I used scotch locks and tied power and ground into the bulb above the ash tray. It is easier to get to than anything else I could grab.

Unless I hear otherwise I am going to assume it is safe to ground to the frame and tap into a hot dash light wire.

That's what I did for my 4 gauges. No problems for over 1 year of driving.

My truck is a 92 and I hooked into the dash illumination fuse (#13) in the fuse block.
