Thanks, TDR Staff

This is a good one!

I just grabbed a couple of low-resolution frames from an old DVC-PRO videotape that we were editing with today.

The pics are kinda self explanatory - you can see the pretty big square shaped piece of whatever hitting the rocket booster thingy and so forth. ( I am NOT an astrophysicist - that's obvious! )

Photos below... .

I have some pics at work that are supposedly taken from an Israeli satellite that was near the shuttle when it started to disintegrate.

I was told they're real, but I'm skeptical.

Look closely at the pictures, there are asteroids falling, this is scenes from the movie Armageddeon. Shame on the Jerks that put this up (the Sattellite Rumor) and getting people talking about it. what a waste of time.....

My bad. :(

I forgot to mention that these pics are NOT!! from the latest shuttle disaster.

The tape I grabbed the static frames from is at least 4 years old... .

I only wanted to illustrate how there is a lot of debris all over the place on launch/liftoff.

Sorry for the confusion.

I could tell the "Satellite" photos were fake right off the bat, because:

--satellites only look down toward the surface of the earth. Even if this is true there is no way you could get a photo sequence that close, that clear, of something moving 18,000mph.

--the photos depict the shuttle much higher above the earth than it actually was

--The shuttle is in the wrong attitude (nose not up far enough, and as we know it was in the correct attitude before breakup)

--The debris/explosion flames are not streaming rearward

--The bottom of the shuttle isn't glowing orange from reentry, neither is the orange ozone halo.

When Apollo 13 Command Module blew, one of our '60's vintage spy satellites was turned around to look at the problem. It got a real good view of the damage from those I have spoken to who saw the images.

On the Columbia crash, one wonders about what all actually took place. If you saw the "last x minutes of the flight" broadcast some weeks ago, at one point the pilot switches off the auto pilot and NASA comes back and tells him to turn it back on. Things that make you go hmmmm?
