More unconfirmed info on the 2002 Rams

Hope this isn't old news for everyone... and somehow I missed it.

It is my understanding the 1/2 ton Rams will be the only ones to receive new sheet metal.

3/4 & 1 ton Rams will be re-designed in 2003, and no confirmation if they will look like the halfers.

Additionally, the existing quad doors will no longer be available. But will be replaced by four regular doors. Again, no confirmation if they are full size doors or 3/4 doors like the prototype 2002 model.

I have a dealer here in Texas(Boerne Dodge) who swears on his life that since our heavy duty rams aren't getting a facelift until 2003, they will be available in a 4 full door crew cab starting this summer. Like u stated, he said the quad cab we have now will be discontined in favor for the full sized doors. I don't know how reliable this information is, but this guy has contacted me three times, the most recently last week in regards to this issue. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share what I heard.

SA Law sounds to me like your dealer might be worried that people are gonna jump ship and buy a Fraud Stuper Doody crew cab... But on the otherhand I do hope he's right. We all know a Dodge crew cab is long overdue.

The latest info from DC Jeep / Truck Engineering Center here in Detroit, MI, is the 2002 3/4 and 1 ton will be the same as current. My friend that works in an engine lab there told me he drove a 2003 solid axle 4X4 with the 5. 7 HEMI, 3/4 ton that looks identicle to the new 2002 1/2 ton quad cab coming out this fall. The current style QC will be replaced by the sorry excuse of a 4 door when the new body does come out in 2002 and 2003 for the 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons respectively. He did say that the HEMI made his 5. 9 gasser feel like a V6, and it is as quiet at the current 4. 7 in the Jeeps and Dakota /Durango for better pictures of the 2002 1/2 ton, check out my post on this forum on the 2002 ram
