That's gotta hurt

anyone have any luck with the new mosquito deleto, magneto or magnet out there. those little blood suckers are out of control already here on the eastern shore of maryland. any info would be welcome. i think we should change the mosquito to the state bird.

Personally, I think they are a mosquito magnet. Put one in your yard and all it does is bring them in from your neighbors. Along the way to the device, they make pitstops at your arm, leg, etc. I put them in the category of Japanese beetle traps. My dad used to put them up around the yard and get a ton of them. When he quit doing it, because it didn't make a difference, he got less, since they were hitting the people around him that did have them.

Just my . 02 on it.

We use a zapper. Put it as far away from where you want to be as possible. I leave it plugged in all night every night. Far fewer blood suckers in my case. Don't forget to unplug and clean once a week.

i did hear from one guy who had one and put it far away and it did help. i live on ten acres so i would be able to put it far enuogh away.

My brother in-law has a mosquito magnet said it works great, the key he said is it takes a month or so before you will notice any difference as it has to kill off all the breading mosquitos. He's got about 4 acres and has it on the edge of his woods about 150' from the house. My neighbor bought one and said it did not work well, he only gave it a couple weeks and then turned it off.

Is the mosquitomagnet the thing that runs off of propane? If so, my parents have one and live on the edge of wetlands. The Carbon dioxide attracts them and the unit traps them in a little bin. My parents have noticed a big difference. They recommend it.
