What have you found to be the most durable headlamps?

I've been using the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras but I'm really getting tired of replacing them every 3-4 months. I get them from O'Reilly's and they do warranty them with no problem. I think I'm going to try the Philips Crystalvision Ultras. I've also heard the Piaa lamps hold up well. I have four vehicles and I'm only having trouble with my truck, takes a 9004, and my daughter's HHR, takes a 9008. Now that I think about it, those two are the only ones I've put the Sylvanias in. I've never put a headlamp in my son's '03 Avalanche or my wife's '07 ES350.

Thanks.

I've never tried the Crystal Vision Ultra, but the Standard & Vision Plus seem to last the longest; the Extremes on the missus' vehicle have been in for about a year so far.

There's a new pair of Philips Standards in the glovebox as spares. I find that "whiter" doesn't necessarily mean "brighter" or better seeing.

As far as the first gen - these are what I use - couldn't be more pleased -

I have been using the Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs in my truck and other vehicles for many years now.

They provide an even yellow/white light that is SUBSTANTIALLY brighter then regular halogen bulbs and last just as long, or longer , then any other halogen bulb that I have ever used.

When one finally does go bad, I do replace them in pairs as I have learned that the other is also usually about to go out. IME, the also means that they have a reached their maximum use lifespan, which for me is measured in YEARS, not months like the Sylvanias that I used to use!!!
