Last week I drove 803. 3 miles on a tank treated with Power Service Diesel Kleen and filled up on sunday with 38. 11 gallons(I think I pushed it a little too close to empty:eek: )

calculated mileage 21. 078

computer readout 18. 8

The tank was probably 85% highway @65 mph and the remaining 15% was heavy city traffic. I did pull a 2100# flatbed trailer 50 miles empty, and an additional 25 miles with a Mazda 323 loaded.

HO, 6 speed,4x4, 3. 73, QC, long box

tires at 72 psi

That's not bad since you only have a 35 gallon tank:rolleyes:

4x4

We haven't pushed the wifes TDI to 800, yet. 778 is the high, and that was running 80 mph from S. VA to Pittsburgh and back. I know it'll hit 800 easily, but she gets nervous very quickly after the light comes on:rolleyes:

Yes you know how them women are:eek: You must of filled that tank on the truck of till the neck. You trying to vent that tank like on the VWs?:D

yup, to the top...

finally did the ventectomy on the Jetta last weekend. since I always fill it up out of cans, it made quite a difference.

I go to two clicks of the fuel pump and that is it. after the first click i wait a while to let the foam subside and then go to a 2nd click. dont like to overfill there is really no need for it. it tends to spew fuel all down the side of the truck. that is no good

My needle was below the 'E' this weekend, about a hairaway from resting on the little plastic peg. Gave me quite the scare.

It took 30 gallons.

No idea ho wmany miles since I didn't reset my odo on the alst fill up. That tank was mainly city though, so I'm sure it wasn't noteworthy.

Hey Duck, you have any pics of your rig since you put on the MT classic II's with the BFGs?? That's the combo I want when the time comes for new tires.

willyslover: wow, 1450 miles, how big is that transfer flow tank?

CC: the only reason I fill'er up good is because I drive 25 miles just to fill up. Save . 30 a gallon compared to down the street. gotta make it worth the trip;) It'll usually take 5-7 gallons after the first click:eek:

... cont want to turn this into a TDI forum BUT... . gots 813 last tank in my 98 Jetta... . been venting BOTH truck and Jetta since their birth... . get almost 4 gallons in the Jetta and get 6. 2 EVERY time in the truck... . I can go about 160+- miles before the needle moves... . kinda slow to refuel but when you can go a month on a tank WHO CARES?? :--)
