motel parking

another pet peeve of ours. how many motels have you stayed at that said they had "large vehicle parking" only to find out that they put you a mile away from your room in some rutted, gravel goat path? we pay the same rates as everyone else, but have to call a cab to get to our rooms. i always like to take a cruise around the lot to make sure that i can get three or four rigs in before giving the motel my business. well thats it, oh by the way how many times have you parked in the furthest corner of the parking lot, to stay out of everyones way only to wake up and find the only other two people staying there that night have parked directly in front and behind your rig?

I feel your pain packman. Same problem coast to coast. Some towns aren't truck friendly at all. I've had my best luck at Super 8. They usualy have a drivers discount too.

When moteling in the winter I get my bucks worth. Rent a downstairs room park close to it and run my handy extendsion cord out the window to the block heater.
