Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) motor change question

For some of you all that might know is 5000 to much to pay for a complete running 98 12 valve motor with 4,000 miles on it and will it bolt right into a 96 truck or is there some different things that I would need to buy to make it work. Any help would be appreciated.

I paid 3000 for a used 96 block with 80,000 miles and that also covered being installed. So 5k for a complete w/ only 4,000 miles doesn't sound to far out of line to me.
