Very Unhappy with "Pro-Flo" Exhaust...

So its time for the motor to come out and see what happened to it, puffing white smoke out of the oil filler opening once its up to operating temperature. :{ I've already decided it going to get a pulse exhaust manifold while its out, was wondering on what else I should look at / upgrade while its apart to keep it together forever. It has a PDR camshaft, fluidampr, F1 springs, and ARP studs already. Probably send out the turbo to be checked. I looked at MitchellonDemand's instructions for engine removal and its ridiculous. Anyone have any tips for pulling the motor? Head come off first, then the short or can it all come out at once? Gonna go drink now... ... ... ...

Cheers all

Nice write up, I love what you did with the paint and the detail. Honestly not sure what to do with the truck right now... ... ... ... ... .....

Well you know it's not going to cure itself :). And if ( make that when ) you pull it out and tear it apart it going to cost $$$ because you can't just patch it if you plan on keeping the truck. I pulled the engine out in one piece, although I know guys who pull the head first, and I didn't want to put in back in that way. It tight on the cowl and I did rip my insulation, which the mice have since eaten while he truck was parked this winter :( If you have any specific questions pm me. I used all genuine Cummins parts except for the cam. Shadrach

After much deliberation and adding up of the numbers relating to the engine repairs and other items the truck needs, I decided to trade it in and just move on. Its been a great truck, but there comes a time when you just have to cut your loses. It will be hard to say good-bye, but all good things come to an end.
